The Foundation is a registered NGO with few resources, but unlimited heart. The poverty many children go through in some African countries, especially Ghana, is unimaginable. The UN, Humanitarian and International Charities estimate as many as 7,000 children living on the streets of some developing countries. Small Projects. Big Dreams! At The Foundation of Hope, we believe that every child should have something to wear and shoes and enough food to survive. What you throw out or waste can change a life - one person at a time. The Foundation of Hope for Children and The Elderly is mainly community based; we work with communities adopted to fight poverty locally, reaching out to the poorest and most vulnerable people, helping them fight for and gain unequivocal access to food, shelter, work, education, healthcare and allowing their voice in the decisions that affect their lives. Creating Change One Step at a Time Projects include such small ones as buying mats for children to sleep on, or a pair of shoes so a child can go to school. Orphanages, overcrowded schools that need help to pay for exam printing or to give a bit of food to the children. Big dreams but small projects. Each small change can alter the future for some child or poor elderly person without any means to care for themselves. Examples of projects: - Roof for a schoolhouse
- Desks for children to work from
- Providing packages of food for a class
- Finding school fees for numerous kids
- Getting basic medicines for clinics
